Funhouse Comedy Club Line Up
George Zach

The stand-up comedian, actor and improviser has been spreading joy and nonsense to all four corners of England, as well as the more choice bits of Wales and Scotland over the past few years. Crowned Comedy Cafe New Act of the Year in 2009, Ben hosted the prestigious Big Value Comedy Showcase at the Edinburgh festival in 2012.

Phil Butler

Phil Butler has always been a popular act, even in the early days when he was serving his apprenticeship in holiday parks, end-of-pier shows, pantos and cruise ships and showing off his other talents like singing & dancing. Soon he was starring in these big shows, playing the comic lead in panto and seeing his name in lights with shows such as ‘Phil Butler’s Christmas Party’ in Blackpool and Seaside Special’, the UK’s No 1 summer show. In 2001 he joined the UK comedy circuit where now tops the bill at Jongleurs, The Comedy Club, The Glee Club & The Banana Comedy Club. He has also performed for British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dipping his toe into an acting career, Phil had a cameo role in BBC’s ‘Hotel Babylon’ and a TV ad for the AA. ‘Phil Butler’s got it all.. unique, original & hilarious’ (The Stage & Television Today); ‘…one of the most exciting & original finds in comedy in recent years’ (The Guardian).

Supporting Acts
Anil Desai

2009 So You Think You’re Funny finalist and 2013 Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year runner-up.

Rising star Mark Simmons is a consummate one-liner comic. If you love Milton Jones you are likely to adore Mark Simmons. Big hit on the UK circuit and supports some of the bigger names on tour, including Seann Walsh who he co-hosts a movie podcast with. Very clever writing combined with a quirky stage persona.

Jon Person

Robert tells engaging stories, strong jokes and occasionally performs a bit of musical comedy. Material derives from his unusual life and abstract perspective as he twists his thoughts in a peculiar fashion culminating in always clever, often wordy and sometimes cruel humour.
